Members

Members of the Alliance span national and sub-national governments, businesses, and organisations. Members commit to accelerating the transition from coal to clean energy, grounded in the objectives of the PPCA Declaration.

Note: In September 2019, the PPCA responded to the growing demand for support on the transition from coal to clean energy by enabling membership for national governments that are in the process of developing and implementing ambitious actions on coal phase-out. 

As of 2 June 2020, a total of 104 members have joined the Powering Past Coal Alliance, comprising 33 national governments, 28 sub-national governments, and 43 businesses or organisations. They are:
